Developing Better Tomorrows (“The Contest”) Terms & Conditions
The promoter of the initiative is Vino Technologies, Inc, with registered office in Cary, North Carolina (“Vino”).
Participation in The Contest is free of charge and is addressed to all individuals or companies who, at the registration date, are at least 18 (eighteen) years of age and who are employed at a company or organization that meets one of the following criteria:
- Non-Profit organization located in North Carolina.
- Public Educational institution located in North Carolina.
- Small Business located in the greater triangle area (Businesses located in Durham County, Wake County, Hillsborough County, or Johnston County).
VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
The Contest is void where prohibited by law.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
You do not need to purchase any Vino product or service to enter or win The Contest.
You cannot participate in The Contest and will be immediately disqualified and forfeit all of your prizes if you are or become:
- otherwise prohibited by applicable export controls and sanctions programs.
- a resident anywhere that The Contest is prohibited by law.
- a current employee, intern, contractor, officer, or director of Vino or their affiliates.
Vino reserves the right to verify your eligibility and to adjudicate any dispute regarding eligibility at its sole discretion. You agree to provide Vino with any proof of eligibility requested, and your refusal or failure to provide such proof within five (5) days of Vino’s request will result in your disqualification from The Contest and forfeiture of any prizes.
Announcement of Winners
The results of the final round of The Contest will be posted on the Vino website after completion of The Contest.
TYPE OF INITIATIVE AND OBJECTIVES
“The Contest” is the initiative promoted by Vino aiming to assist a small business, non-profit or educational institution with free consulting and software development.
REGISTRATION FOR THE COMPETITION
The Contest is open for entries until midnight EST on October 31, 2021.
The Contest will be held on the website https://vino.dev.
For any further technical requirements, Vino will reserve the right to change dates, hour and the place of the event, as well as to cancel it, giving notice of it to the Participants.
The participation in The Contest is free and requires registration on www.vino.dev.
Taking part in The Contest requires that each Participant accept these Terms & Conditions.
Vino reserves the right to exclude from The Contest, at any stage, all subjects who have entered during the registration phase or subsequently communicated any personal information that is not true.
Vino will select the winter of The Contest within two weeks following The Contest’s end date, and promptly notify the winner.
THE CONTEST WINNER
The contest winner will be selected by a team consisting of, but not limited to, Vino employees and sub-contractors. Winners will be chosen based on the details provided in the proposal, their scope, and their fit with the development resources Vino has available.
The Contest winner will receive the following:
Up to fifty (50) hours (monetary value of $10,000) of free software development and consulting by Vino to customize and tailor a software solution to the winner’s desired scope and needs. Any recurring charges, subscriptions, or costs associated with any part of the delivered prize are the responsibility of the Contest winner.
Terms of The Contest
Any Participants who may, according to the unquestionable judgment of the Promoter, have taken part herein in violation of the provisions of this Regulation or may have become the winners by means and tools capable of circumventing the procedures for participation and conduct of the initiative, will be excluded from the The Contest and will not be awarded.
Before awarding the prizes, Vino reserves the right to perform all the necessary checks to ascertain the appropriate progress of the competition, including verification of the Participants being over 18 (eighteen) years of age.
Vino will assume no responsibility for problems of access, impediments, malfunctions or difficulties concerning technical tools, telephone line, cables, electronics, software and hardware, transmission and connection, an Internet connection that may prevent a Participant from accessing the site and therefore participating.
Vino will not be held responsible for failure to receive, or incomplete receipt of, the registration, for any whatsoever reason.
Vino will assume no responsibility for cases of non-delivery of emails not attributable to the same, including, but not limited to, cases in which the address stated during registration is incorrect, incomplete or deactivated.
Vino may cancel or modify the structure, date, time or requirements of The Contest at its sole discretion.
Vino reserves the right to copy and distribute all source code and associated algorithms provided the algorithms do not contain trade secrets or non licensable intellectual property of The Contest winner.

Permission to Use Your Name and Likeness.
By registering for The Contest, you agree that Vino and its agents may use your name, likeness, logo and statements about the competition without compensation to promote The Contest, including displaying them on a Contest website.
If any term (or part of a term) of these terms are invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the rest of the terms will remain in effect.
ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE TERMS AND ANY RULES WILL BE GOVERNED BY NORTH CAROLINA LAW, EXCLUDING CONFLICT OF LAWS RULES, AND WILL BE LITIGATED EXCLUSIVELY IN THE FEDERAL OR STATE COURTS OF WAKE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA USA; THE PARTIES CONSENT TO PERSONAL JURISDICTION IN THOSE COURTS.
